Day Nursery
The nursery is staffed by professionals who are committed to their role and are qualified to a very high standard. All of the management team are trained to at least NVQ level 4. A very high proportion of staff have worked for Mrs Gail Hodgson for many years and therefore there is a very small turnover of the team ensuring a very consistent approach. The ratio of children to staff is extremely favourable ensuring the children have 1:1 attention with their key workers.
The nursery has gained the “Investor in Children” award and has achieved ‘Outstanding in it’s OFSTED report with outstanding levels of education offered to the children following the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
Ashby Castle Day Nursery is the only nursery in the area owned and managed by a degree status early years headmistress with over 25 years experience in the field of child care and education. Mrs Gail Hodgson has worked for both Ofsted and the National Day Nurseries Association inspecting and accrediting day nurseries throughout the country. She lectures in the field of child care and education at national level.
